Crock Pot Round (cubed) Steak and Gravy

Found this recipe years ago, what a lifesaver with the crockpot. Or maybe you've moved on to the instapot?
Ready in 5-6 hours
Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
2-3 lbs of round steak
1 (1 1/4 ounces) envelope dry onion soup mix
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans of cream of mushroom soup (or cream soup of your choice)
1 jar ( 8 ounces) mushrooms
1/4 cup water
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in crockpot, as listed
Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 5-6 hours
Goes well with mashed potatoes - gravy in crockpot

Modifications that I've made is to add coconut Aminos to the crockport at the beginning. It is a seasoning, but tenderizes the steak so very nicely. Some of sons do not like mushrooms. We've left them out and changed the mushroom soup to beef broth. Adding a thickener of your choice, about a 1/8 of a cup, will make a gravy for you.
